NZK Plastics, LLC

NZK Plastics LLC was started in 1996 part time by president and owner Nick Karnavas. After graduating from Penn State University in 1989 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering he worked in the plastics industry. First in Baltimore in plastic extrusion then moving to Pittsburgh in 1994 working in the resin manufacturing industry. In 2001 he left his daytime employment and went full time with his injection molding business.

  NZK Plastics started with one injection molding machine and has grown to include six injection molding machines from 40 tons to 400 tons. Secondary operations include part design and material selection. Drawings are done in 3D with solid works software. Materials molded by NZK Plastics include all the major commodity resins such as PE, PP, PS, ABS, PC and Acetal. Higher end engineering resins such as LCP, PPS and COP for optical lens applications. Insert molding is also done with wear resistant acetal and nylon materials. Over molding TPE's have also been molded for many ergonomic designed parts.

NZK Plastics today is under a million dollars in yearly sales and uses this small size to react quickly to customer demands and needs.
